I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with individuals coping with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief/loss. I seek to provide warmth, genuineness, and support to my clients in order to establish a relationship of trust that fosters growth in a safe and affirming environment for all identities. I strongly believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and view it as a tool that can create change and provide insight into other significant relationships in one’s life. I work collaboratively with clients to support them in achieving their goals.

I have received comprehensive training in Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I provide both short and long-term therapy, depending on a client’s presenting concerns and goals. In my work, I utilize an integrative approach and adapt my style to meet each individual’s needs, employing research-proven techniques. I received a master’s degree and doctorate (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from American University. During my graduate training, I provided clinical services in a variety of settings, including: college counseling centers, the DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and community mental health clinics.

I formerly served as the Director of Clinical Services at the American University Counseling Center (AUCC) where I oversaw the Center’s clinical system and team of staff psychologists. I also previously held the role of Associate Director of Clinical Training at the AUCC. In that role, I managed the APA-accredited clinical training program for Doctoral Interns, and I also oversaw the training of Post-Doctoral Fellows and graduate student clinical trainees. As an Adjunct Faculty member in the American University Psychology Department, I served as the instructor and clinical supervisor for the first-year doctoral student therapy practicum.
